Windows MultiPoint Server 2012（代号为 Windows MultiPoint Server “3”，也可以简称为 WMS3）是 Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 的继任者，也是 Windows MultiPoint Server 的第三个版本，于 2012 年 11 月 27 日发布到生产[1]，后来于 2013 年 2 月 10 日正式发布。[2]它基于 Windows Server 2012。
它是作为独立 SKU 的 Windows MultiPoint Server 的最后一个版本，并在 Windows Server 2016 及更高版本中被 MultiPoint Services 角色取代。
主要新增功能与更改
Windows MultiPoint Server 2012 添加了 MultiPoint Dashboard，允许非管理员监视服务器上所有工作站的用户桌面并与之交互。它还添加了在运行 WMS 2012 高级版的虚拟机上创建工作站的功能。
它添加了磁盘保护，这是一项可以部署在 WMS 服务器中的功能，可以丢弃在用户会话期间对服务器所做的所有更改并将服务器恢复到其原始状态。
它还添加了 MultiPoint Server Connector，允许监视运行 Windows 7 和 Windows 8 的客户端计算机。
