Windows Server 2012 build 8154 is a build of Windows Server 2012, which was shared on 25 October 2024. Prior to its leak, a screenshot of this build was shared on 14 September 2024 in BetaWiki Discord server.
Changes
- A new desktop background is used, which replaces the Windows 7 logon background used in previous builds, it's used in the official consumer preview build.
- The Aero Lite visual style received its final design iteration.
- The placeholder
Windows Proximity Connection.wavsound from build 8123 has been replaced with the sound that is reminiscent of the one found in the RTM build, And similar to the consumer & release previews version but not glitched, before being glitched in the build 8175.
Bugs and quirks
Server Core
- The boot information text remains on the lock screen after its appearance.
- When shutting down or logging off, the screen will go white for a few seconds.
