Internet Explorer 1.0 build 66 is a pre-release version of Internet Explorer 1.0 which is part of Microsoft Plus! 95 Build 50. This is the earliest known and available build of Internet Explorer.

Quirks and observations

  • Proxy server support is present, but a user interface to change the setting is not implemented. Configuration must be done via Registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Services\Proxy_Server
  • The icon placed on the Desktop is different to the actual icon shown when using Internet Explorer.
