Windows Server 2012 build 7925 is a build of Windows Server 2012, which was shared on 5 November 2024.
New features and changes
- The Aero Lite visual style has gained yet another update, which reinstates the blue color for the window borders and the window control buttons, both from the Windows Basic theme, making it looking more similar to it. Compared to it, the new theme does not have the slight gradient in the title bar due to its metrics allowing solid colors only. Also, the pictograms on the window control buttons are missing, which can be more classified as a quirk, resulting in the buttons to appear with their background only.
- The desktop wallpaper has been changed to a plain dark green background featuring a wordoku puzzle with the leak warning. This wordoku would eventually be solved to form "Start Me Up", seen firstly since the build 7908 of its client counterpart.
Bugs
In Server Core configurations, LogonUI crashes upon trying to change the password for an account. Changing the password using net user on the command-line resolves the issue.
