Windows 8 build 8056 (fbl_dnt2_bus) is a pre-Developer Preview/Milestone 3 build of Windows 8, which was uploaded to BetaArchive on 12 January 2020.
Changes
- The login message "Preparing your desktop..." has been renamed to "Preparing your PC".
- The icons in the Display Switch Charms Bar flyout, which have been left unchanged since Windows 7, have been replaced by flat monotone variants which fit better into the Metro design language. The flyout itself is also now referred to as Project rather than as Video Out.
Quirks
Similar to build 8032, the background found in this build's out-of-box experience is distorted, oddly featuring the same effect produced on certain GPUs in late Beta 2 builds of Windows Vista.
