Windows 8 Build 8020.0.winmain.110602-1840
Windows 8 build 8020 (winmain) is a pre-Developer Preview/Milestone 3 build of Windows 8/Windows RT. The full partner drop, containing x86 and x64 compiles in both free/retail and checked debug for both this build and its server counterpart, was shared on 2 November 2024, complete with language packs in German and Japanese, the ADK which includes the ARM32 compile, the SDK and WDK, and public symbol MSIs.

Prior to the sharing of this build, one image of the file properties and digital signatures of this build's ntoskrnl.exe file for the x86 retail/free compile was shared on an unknown date and was reposted to BetaArchive.[1]
Despite an ARM32 (ARMv7) compile of this build existing in the WinPE form, the ARM32 compile that was sent to partners in full was compiled five minutes later.

Bugs and quirks
Redpill
Similar to builds from the fbl_eeap branch (except for the build 8039), the x86 and AMD64 compiles of this build cannot be redpilled.
Upgrade
After the preparation phase of the upgrade, Windows may encounter a bugcheck with the error code SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED caused by winhv.sys. To bypass this, boot into Safe Mode and delete or rename the file located at C:\Windows\System32\Drivers.
