Microsoft Edge，开发代号 Spartan，是由 Microsoft 开发的 Web 浏览器。其目的是取代 Internet Explorer 成为 Windows 中的新默认浏览器。它前后使用两种内核开发。起初，Microsoft Edge 基于 Microsoft 自研 EdgeHTML 引擎开发，后来改为使用 Chromium 开发。时至今日，Microsoft Edge 已经成为 Windows 中的重要组成部分。
作为原来必须使用 Internet Explorer 的网站，你可以通过 Internet Explorer 模式进行这些网站的访问。Microsoft Edge 包含 Internet Explorer 模式，它使用 Internet Explorer 11 中使用的 Trident 引擎来显示网站。可将 Edge 配置为在 Internet Explorer 模式下显示选定网站（如果这些网站使用 Blink 引擎时出现问题）。此模式仅适用于 Microsoft Windows 平台，旨在供企业使用，并取代 Windows 上原有的 Internet Explorer 11 应用。
