Internet Explorer 4.0 build 0225 is an alpha build of Internet Explorer 4 that was originally warez scene-leaked by warez group GLoW on 5 March 1997 and later by Imperator on 17 March. It was discovered and shared on 22 December 2015 along with 1072 and 1169.[1]

New features and changes
- A desktop wallpaper is automatically applied upon installing this version of Internet Explorer.
- A Show Desktop button has been added at the end of the taskbar. This wouldn't appear in a finalized Windows release until Windows 7.
- Tip of the day now appears in the Explorer sidebar.
- The throbber has been removed from Windows Explorer. It would return in the final version.
Desktop Channel
An early iteration of what would become the Channel Bar, known as "Desktop Channel" is included. It contains a WebBar that lets you view webpages directly on the desktop and a "Channel Changer" to switch the viewed channel. It can be docked to a corner of the screen, or used as a window on the desktop. It can be disabled by unchecking its menu entry in the Desktop context menu.
