It is now possible to enable firewall protection for specific network adapters, and computer- and user-specific connection authorization rules have been added to [[w:IPsec|Internet Protocol Security (IPsec)]] settings. It is no longer possible to define a custom security certificate as an authentication method in firewall rules and within IPsec settings.

Connection security rules can now have specific networking protocols and address ports assigned to specific endpoints, as long as an applicable protocol type is defined. Rule exemptions and authorization requirements can now be applied against connections made through an IPsec network tunnel.
