Auto-Patch 'warez
Many software pirates at the time caught wind that Microsoft were unveiling what they called 'Windows 产品激活' in hopes of putting a stop to multiple computers utilizing identical serial key licenses simultaneously; you could only use this upcoming version of Windows for a limited amount of time before starting to demand this verification either online or over-the-phone. Turns out this modified copy contains the Time-Limit "RESET2"[2] variation of the Auto-Patch originally written for RC1 as made evident by the reshacked WINLOGON.EXE which is rather unusual since this specific crack method distinctly calls for swapping out with the one from build 2481 as the fill-in[3], only then is it able to thwart the mechanism and log right back in without any prompts in the way. The manner in which this trick gets done is as a workaround "cheat" by reverting the SECURITY hive to the Last Known Good Configuration upon log-in that sets the trial number of days back to zero meaning it doesn't actually crack WPA protection in the truest sense of the word and at best only suppresses reminder notifications from appearing - it seems the 180-day 时间炸弹 is to be eliminated once substituting SETUPREG.HIV from inside the /i386 directory with that of a retail equivalent (e.g. Win2K CD-ROM).
