Windows Me Build 2368 是 Windows Me 的版本。它于 1999 年 9 月 3 日发布给开发者[1]，并被 warez 小组 TRPS 现场泄露，不久后被认为丢失了。此版本于 2025 年 6 月 12 日重新共享。

在泄露之前，Paul Thurrott 在 SuperSite for Windows 文章“The Road to Gold: The development of Windows Me”（《淘金之路：Windows Me 的开发》）中引用了此版本，[1]此文章声称包括早期版本的系统还原工具和更新的帮助实用程序。此版本的几张屏幕截图可在前 Microsoft MVP Jonathan Kay 的网站上在线找到。[2]属于一所俄罗斯大学的现已失效的FTP服务器显然也曾一度包含此版本的副本。[3]

Microsoft Agent

这是首个包含 Microsoft Agent 帮助程序组件的版本，此组件通过使用 ActiveX（OCX）控件和文本到语音转换引擎来使用“Agent”/虚拟动画角色，提高现有应用程序中的交互性。它最初用作 Office 97 助手的一部分，后来通过 Windows XP 的 Windows 用户界面的其余部分使用。在此版本中，代理的唯一用途是通过作为全新安装体验的一部分提供的助手（作为 Merlin），它指导用户完成基本设置。

若要启用 Start Page（起始页），必须首先将以下注册表值合并到注册表中：

还必须通过 REGSVR32 实用程序注册 Web 视图组件（WEBVW.DLL），方法是通过运行（Run）对话框或 MS-DOS 提示符调用命令 REGSVR32 WEBVW.DLL。通过创建一个指向 HTML 网页 C:\WINDOWS\Activity\Start\StartPage\start.htm 的新活动桌面（Active Desktop）项目，并设置了“Cover Desktop（‘封面’桌面）”属性，可以打开“起始页”。在放大起始页之前，必须禁用桌面图标以避免冲突。

系统还原

系统还原功能的快捷方式（也称为 PC 还原）现在位于“开始”菜单上，但默认情况下仍处于禁用状态。由于没有面向用户的选项来启用系统还原，因此必须合并以下注册表值，然后重新启动系统：

系统文件保护

System File Protection（系统文件保护）是一种机制，用于检测操作系统安装中的非原始组件，并尝试根据原始安装介质中的版本将其替换为干净的对应组件，它作为处于休眠状态的版本的一部分包含在内。要启用系统文件保护，必须合并以下注册表值，然后重新启动系统：

Neptune 参考

在此 Millennium 版本中发现了名为 appman.dll 的文件，版本号为 5.50.5057.1，产品名称为 Microsoft(R) Neptune (TM) Operating System （Microsoft（R）Neptune（TM）操作系统），但尚不清楚此 Neptune 版本是否曾编译过。这样的版本可能是 Milestone 1 阶段的一部分，根据文件日期，此版本在 1999 年 8 月 30 日之前编译。

Bug

  • Activity Center（活动中心）的某些元素使用 Times New Roman fallback 字体，原因是它们自然而然地打算使用 Trebuchet MS、Franklin Gothic 和 Franklin Gothic Book 字体，而这些字体均未包含在此版本中。通过从外部源安装字体，Activity Center 字体将按预期显示。
  • 加载活动中心或更改主题时，将出现 ActiveX 警告；必须按下 OK 才能正确加载活动中心。
