Windows Longhorn Build 4044 是 Windows Longhorn 的未泄露 Milestone 7 版本。此版本使用不同的 winver 品牌，此品牌在更高版本中可以看到，最高可达 Professional 的 Windows Vista Build 5215 和 Starter 的 Windows Vista Build 5310。此版本首次出现在 PDC 2003 的屏幕截图中，当时 Greg Schechter 在 Avalon Graphics and Media (Part 2) presentation: Using Graphics, Animation and Composition in Your Applications（Avalon Graphics and Media（第 2 部分）演示：在应用程序中使用图形、动画和合成）会议（CLI341），演示了 Windows 中 XAML 的强大功能。从那时起，此版本的另外几张屏幕截图被泄露。
