Windows 11 build 26220.7535 is an Insider Preview build of Windows 11 2025 Update. It was released to the Windows Insiders in the Dev and Beta Channels on 9 January 2026 as the KB5066383 enablement update to build 26100.7535 (KB5072046).

Owing to the nature of Windows feature enablement updates, it was distributed over Windows Update services as a complete system upgrade rather than as an ordinary cumulative update, with base checkpoint CU build 26100.1742 installed.
New features and changes
Accessibility
The ability to generate contextual descriptions of images in Narrator (invoked by pressing the Narrator key+Ctrl+D keyboard shortcut), previously rolled out to Copilot+ devices in builds 26200.5551 and 26200.5710, has been rolled out to all compatible devices.
Shell
The Windows Spotlight icon on the desktop has been updated. This change is gradually rolled out.
Miscellaneous
A new RemoveMicrosoftCopilotApp policy has been added for uninstalling Microsoft Copilot for a user in a targeted way if it's not installed by the user or not launched in the last 28 days. It can be toggled via User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows AI -> Remove Microsoft Copilot App in Local Group Policy Editor. This policy is not available on the Home SKU.
Bugfixes
- Fixed an issue where the edge of the warning dialog shown when shutting down Windows while other users were still signed in was truncated by the edge of the Start menu.
- Fixed an issue that was causing
explorer.exeto crash when invoking the context menu on the desktop in certain scenarios. - Fixed an issue that was leading to a black flash when using a pen to ink in Snipping Tool.
- Fixed an issue that was leading to two print dialogs appearing when you opened print instead of just one.
- Fixed the color of the close button the print dialog to be consistent with other windows.
- Fixed an issue where the text on the Printers and Scanners page in the Settings app could become truncated and unreadable.
- Fixed an issue that was leading to the Windows Update page in the Settings app hanging when loading.
Bugs and quirks
- Start menu and Notification Center may not open on click in certain scenarios.
- Certain apps may not show in the system tray properly.
- Bluetooth device battery level may not show in certain scenarios.
- Interacting with audio devices may cause the Settings app to crash.
- When the taskbar is set to auto-hide, it might invoke before interacting with the bottom of the screen, blocking the use of apps in that area.
- If the Xbox full screen experience (rolled out in build 26220.7271) is enabled, some apps may behave unexpectedly, particularly those that expect to be locked to a given size or launch additional windows.
