In preparation for the later development of Windows 8, a new "Windows 7" compatibility mode option has been added to the compatibility tab of programs, with the default option now being set to "Windows 8", disabling installation of certain Windows 7-only apps (unless the aforementioned compatibility setting is used). The default wallpaper has in addition been changed to [[winwallpaper:Harmony|Harmony]], a change which was first observed in [[Windows 8 Build 7731|build 7731]].
