Unlike in previous versions of Internet Explorer, the Platform Previews of version 9 (except Platform Preview 5 which was released as Beta 1) shipped with a minimal user interface focusing on the rendering capabilities of the web browser. Using the web browser is solely handled over a menu bar with few functions, other navigation and status bars are not present.
