'''Windows Hardware Engineering Conference''' (commonly known as '''WinHEC''' and later known as ''Windows Hardware Engineering Community'') is a series of trade shows and workshops hosted by [[w:Microsoft|Microsoft]], primarily focused on Windows-based hardware. It started from 1992 and was run until 2008. After a seven-year absence, WinHEC returned in 2015 as a technical conference.

WinHEC is notable for its many demonstrations involving pre-release builds of Windows, including [[Windows Longhorn build 4015 (Lab06 n)|"Longhorn" build 4015]] in 2003, [[Windows Server 2008 build 5340]] in 2006, and [[Windows 7 build 6937 (winmain)|Windows 7 build 6937]] in 2008.
