Windows Server 2008 Build 6001.16406 是 Windows Server 2008 的版本, which was released to beta testers on 20 December 2006.[1] 最初，此版本的 IA-64 版本丢失了，但最终于 2021 年 9 月 4 日被找到并上传到 BetaArchive。
值得注意的是，它是已知最早的基于 Windows Vista SP1 代码库的服务器版本。此外，它还放弃了 Windows XP 声音方案，此方案被其客户端对应方版本的声音方案所取代。

新增功能和更改
- 服务器管理器收到了几个新图标。此外，UI 也略有更新。
- Windows Update 的图标更改为 Windows Vista Build 5840 中首次出现的图标。
Bug
- 在启用 Aero 主题的情况下从 Build 5728 升级时，它不仅会恢复为 Windows 经典主题，而且还会显示为与 Windows 基本主题中设置的一样粗。
