Bugs and quirks

General

Shutdown or restart will cause a softlock when running this build in VMware Workstation 15 or newer. This can be worked around by using the host's Power menu.

Upgrade

After the preparation phase of the upgrade, Windows may encounter a bugcheck with the error code SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED caused by winhv.sys. To bypass this, boot into Safe Mode and delete or rename the file located at C:\Windows\System32\Drivers.

Compatibility Mode

When applying a compatibility mode to an application and changing it to another mode, the previous compatibility mode is not overwritten and the new and previous compatibility modes are both applied to the application.
Once a compatibility mode is set for an application, it cannot be unset on the application properties's compatibility tab, and can only be disabled by modifying the registry.
