Redpill
- Start screen tiles now have a gradient style, rather than a flat style.
- The Start screen 2 accent color set has been expanded to a full 24 color set.
Bugs
winhv.sys Upgrade Bug
During the upgrade to this build, Windows may encounter a bugcheck with the error code SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. This is caused by winhv.sys after the preparation phase. To bypass this, boot into Safe Mode and delete or rename the file located at C:\Windows\System32\Drivers.
Compatibility
On VMware Workstation, it is recommended to set the hardware compatibility to version 8.x or lower, otherwise:
- If the hardware compatibility is set to Workstation 9.x or above, an 0x0000007E bugcheck will occur during boot.
- On VMware Workstation 15 or newer, If the hardware compatibility is set to Workstation 10.x or above, an early boot error will occur.
