The enhanced privilege protection for Admin Approval Mode, initially implemented in [[Windows 11 build 26040|build 26040]], has been updated to Administrator protection. It provides an additional layer of protection against malware and other threats by isolating sensitive data and processes. The [[User Account Control]] elevation prompt has also been changed to reflect this feature. Administrator protection is disabled by default, but can be enabled manually by setting the "UAC: Configure type of Admin Approval Mode" policy under ''Computer Configuration'' > ''Windows Settings'' > ''Security Settings'' > ''Local Policies'' > ''Security Options'' to "Admin Approval Mode with Administrator protection."
